Museum Interior

There are large volumes within the museum that are unusable for art. It is divided up into areas that are either able to give an isolated view of art or which overpower the artwork and the viewer with dominating architectural volumes. It is a fun building. Libeskind’s Denver patrons have been delivered a unique architectural phenomenon that at times seems like an architect’s self-indulgence.

Vietnam 2005

Fall of 2005. Sharon and I are going to Vietnam for two weeks - finishing the journey with two days in Angkor Wat, Cambodia. We leave November 19th and return December 2nd.

Grand Circle of the Alps

Hello - I am traveling in Switzerland from March 23 to April 5, 2006. I will be staying with Ricardo Carbajal (a friend, painter, and Mexican-American who lived in San Diego for years) and his new wife, Gabriela (a friend, a native-born German-Swiss) at their home outside of Zurich. Then for one week we will adventure together on a grand tour through Switzerland and its Alps.

West Texas

It is time for the May camping expedition. This year the three week circle will proceed through southern Arizona, to west Texas as far down as Big Bend National Park, through New Mexico and Santa Fe before looping home. Trip dates are May 7th through May 25, 2006.

Mexico 2006

Sharon and I arrive in Guadalajara Saturday October 21, 2006. We fly out of Morelia on Monday the 30th. What happens in between...

Spain 2009

Sharon and I are in Spain from May 12 through June 2, 2009. The first week will be in Madrid, followed by a week in Extremadura, and finishing with a week in the Moorish south (Seville, Cordoba, Granada).
